Biography

Renato Moreno Gonzales is an anesthetist who works as an attending physician in the Anesthesia Department of the National Maternal and Perinatal Institute of Lima Peru, which is a highly specialized health center which takes care of maternal and neonatal patients. It is a reference hospital of all the country. After spending nearly a decade working in this environment, Renato truly believes that an optimal obstetric anesthesia management can improve both maternal and neonatal outcomes. Renato has worked with the Peruvian anesthesia society, setting up conferences and workshops about obstetric anesthesia all around the country aiming to reduce maternal mortality. Also created a structured program for the obstetric anesthesia rotation for residents and published in both national and international journals. In addition to his experience Renato is a trained instructor of the “SAFE” course in the obstetric anesthesia chapter and did the obstetric anesthesia fellowship in the “Clinica Universitaria Bolivariana” in Colombia.
